Since November 2007, I have written over 100 articles that have been published addressing a wide range of dangers and ill-effects of consuming refined sugar. Gathering old and new information on this one subject began with a personal education process and it evolved to sharing my findings with you, a welcomed SugarAlert.com web site visitor.
It seems interesting that when we have an ailment and the doctor prescribes a particular medicine we normally follow the instructions and digest it with the expectation that the problem will be eliminated or suppressed to a level of comfort. Logically, taking any medication means we believe that ingesting something possesses the possibility of cure. Then, using that same logic would mean that ingestion is a responsible beginning to making yourself whole. So why not employ that logic with everything we consume and accept the understanding that what we eat and do not eat is a conscious treatment for our respective quality of life.
I like to consider our present eating habits as a beginning for adopting progressive food consumption trends for future generations. [Hopefully, not as tasteless as food outside of the Matrix] Nevertheless, as a society we have chosen a number of progressive changes in our lives regarding driving safety, political choices, religious views, financial investments, use of new inventions, change in personal hygiene products, employing progressive entertainment preferences, adopting new athletic training regimens, constant change of female and male fashions, practicing better child development skills and countless other conceived advancements.
So here is the question; Why are we reluctant to enhance or progress our thinking and implementation of improved habit changes relative to how we approach what and how we consume food? Society still promotes and accepts the practice of hunting animals for sport and game, knowing that it is not necessary. We are increasing our frying of foods, knowing that excessive fats and grease is not good for us. We continue to make ourselves eat way more than we need to operate to the point of gluttony. We still drink alcohol to levels of poor and detrimental judgment. A large percentage of people still smoke cigarettes, despite the findings and proven results that show how it kills the smoker and those around him.
In spite of these obvious no-no anecdotes about eating, we remain vigilant to want the world to change and progress in all other areas. Even though a majority of us are not willing to change our personal eating to a more progressive style commensurate with current needs and world accommodations.
How often do we hear our friends and family members at holiday dinners say things like, "I know I am not suppose to eat this but it smells so good, or I know I'll regret this in the morning". How barbaric are we as humans when we cannot control the intake of items we know will cause us direct harm. Too often I have thoughts that develop picturing just how untrustworthy our society is when it comes to eating habits.
In view of that, I hope the articles contained in this SugarAlert.com web site help to stimulate much better thoughts. Thoughts and actions that improve our choices for rethinking snack choices and the contents of our next meal. Appropriate weight size and having a stronger immune system represent the two basic objectives for sharing this information, but my ultimate goal is to help enrich the minds of future generations. So as we share greater knowledge today about what goes into our body can create an evolved legacy of understanding about the detriments from eating processed foods, which in turn will help improve our collective health consciousness for those that follow.
